Insurance is one big con, basically they tax the good guys because we have to have insurance by law.

Like you Lee mine is completely clean. I got hit from behind in traffic a few years ago, no claim on my policy and total acceptance of fault by the other party ...my premium still went up!

This is why we youngsters arent able to drive old, GOOD, FUN cars without having mummy and daddy pay for the insurance, because we cant get classic car insurance. Pain in the arse man.

I was going to buy an old scimitar but it wasnt classed as classic car, so i was still getting humped :P

I haven't had it dyno'd yet. Recently the engine got new heads and a hotter cam so I'd say it's north of 400hp right now.

Note to rest, sorry to here your insurance rules, they suck. Move here as you can drive and insure anything as soon as you get your licence. Mind you, that's the reason we see so many of the younger generation wrapped around poles & trees in single vehicle crashes.
