Honestly bigbarney I haven't tasted rum like it and really appreciate mackemkeith pouring me a glass I'm usually a scotch man but hell that was nice....very sweet and no harshness ......
Glad you had an enjoyable time and it looks like a wondrous spread indeed. I too am curious about the bubble wrap as well though. Just being cautious I assume? They dont ship that way. Very hard to tell from the pic but what were you guys enjoying cigar wise?
What would I know? I'm just a backwoods roo packin crim from New Holland! LOL. (Thankyou El Cat)
Just to clear this up guys the cigars ordered from that particular vendor are allways opened and inspected and subsequently a small amount of bubble wrap is placed at the head and foot of the cigar this is purely to protect the cigars whilst in transit nothing sinister at all. The cigars had just been delivered that day and bubble wrap removed shortly after the pic taken and placed in the humi. I assure you nothing sinister about that practice I'm sure if memory serves there was a thread about this not so long back.
That rum sounds good... been drinking through a bottle of Legendario Elixir de Cuba 7 year, also quite sweet, more of an everyday tipple, will get a bottle of Ron Zacapa as I've not tried it before, is that the 23 year?
I have had cigars turn up with bubble wrap also, I have no issue with that at all.
Upmann No.2 is a great cigar, what year was the box?
More importantly, is that REALLY ice in the rum, REALLY?
"In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love, they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock!"
