The Uganda returns to Southampton Water, I was top deck, mid ships. Anyone sailed on her, as a passenger or school kid?

The only "boat" I have ever stepped foot on is the one that's docked in Edinburgh when me and MLW went not so long ago The Royal Yacht Britannia rather nice inside but not something I would go to again haha
RYB was a special draft to get. You had flashes on your shoulder showing you were RYB crew, higher standard of dress & conduct expected, had to be recommended to serve onboard. A POMA's billet with a MO when Royalty onboard.
Simon Bolivar: Liberator of Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru & Venezuela.
I seem to remember my sister going on a schools cruise on her in the mid ‘70’s.

So did my sister, nice tour around the Med. She went to a private day school that offered such excursions & I went to a Comprehensive that didn't. I had the last laugh though, as we had the 1st class cabins & dining & the walking wounded had the 4 tier bunks & canteen service that the school kids used.
