Are cigar smokers also cigarrette smokers?

I have tried smoking cigarettes but they're not for me..
I always felt that cigs are purely about getting the nicotine where as cigars are about so much more.
for me a cigar is a statement, a cigarette is a crutch.

Haha oh you guys...
I do enjoy a cigarette on occasion... Until I find myself unable to quit, at which point it becomes an all-too-real reminder that cigarettes are far more addictive than anything else, including street drugs.

For one, they're socially acceptable, sometimes even encouraged by the media. Second, with all the additives and what not, it's difficult to know just what it is you're smoking, whether it be real tobacco, or chemically-treated paper. Finally, it's not just the nicotine I find addictive, but the habit; the series of coping-mechanisms performed: the "itch" to smoke (sweaty palms, jitters, etc.), the sense of security that comes when I have the cig in my mouth, and the immediate sense of relief when the first blast of smoke hits my lungs.
These ^ are the reasons why I am addicted to cigarettes (I actually just figured this out as I was typing, sort of as a introspective evaluation). Although cigar smoking is equally ritualistic, I don't have the guilt, the health problems, or the earful of crap from family/friends when I smoke cigars. It may also be the stigma, like Ultimate said.

lol that being said, I think I'll go smoke a cigar to end this day!

Ive never ever had sweaty palms or jitters from not having a fag (cigarette :P). Usually I'm just up tight, pissed off and a little bit volatile, however, there are times i can go maybe 3/4 days without a smoke of a cig. But other days I could go through a 20 deck without a problem, depending on the problems facing me through the day.

I.e. Had a b*****d of a job on a mondeo, couldnt get the sub frame to drop to get the gearbox off to get into the clutch and smoked 10 withing 3 hours. Lecturer wasnt happy but he understood (ex smoker 'n' all).

I agree with the ''sense of security'' part. More so a literal point for me. Ive worked my way out of many arguments by just turning to the chap im having the dispute with and saying, ''lets have a fag n sort this crap out''.

So conclusion:

My smoking saves people from getting broken arms !

Not sure what a Mondeo is, but guess maybe it's a FWD car because they usually require such frustration (from what I hear) to get at the tranny. I found myself smoking De Nobili cigars (poop-stick cheroots) doing the shocks/struts on my Altima this past summer. Good for the nerves!

We can debate whether a couple of cigars a week will harm you, in anyother way besides finnacially but smoking those white sitcks will harm you in the end, in a miryad of ways. Luckily I never liked them.
