Did it 20 years ago, once was enough. London to Southend is a much easier run.
Dependent on how strong a rider you are Ditchling Beacon is a bit of a slog, in fact I ended up walking some of it as there was a snarl up and it was easier to walk than ride at near walking speed.
I did it in 2019. I did start training about now as I hadn't cycled much for years. There are plenty of resources (IIRC) available giving advice on training. The longest ride I had done in the build up to the L2B was about 40 and the extra 10 wasn't too difficult. I was quite pleased to finish in just under 4 hours, but it's not a race and there are plenty of places to stop for refreshments enroute. Top advice - get some decent shorts and a comfy saddle.

Descent shorts are a must for any ride!! That’s one thing I never skimped on.
Cheers guys....yea not looking forward to Ditchling Beacon mile long climb 🤦🏾
Yea got some comfy shorts, just getting back in to it again...only start cycling last year again after teaching my eldest to ride a bike. Just started training last week... easing into it after a 6 week break.

That's a good pace....if I can do it at that pace I'd be happy.
