I appreciate that this experience would have been a bit trying for you, but from what I can tell, the situation is that you have a neighbour who misinterpreted a situation and called the police, and if I'd have through that my next-door neighbour was loudly making threats to kill, I'd probably do the same.
I'm assuming you have some grounds for believing that this neighbour has mental health problems, but at this stage this is irrelevant - could be they misheard you (you did yell something, after all), could be an auditory hallucination, but this doesn't matter - bottom line is that your neighbour thought they heard you yelling (and I quote) ''Die Tina you Fucking bitch, DIE!'' and believed that this is what was said with some conviction.
Let's take a step back and look at it from the naighbour's perspective for a sec. You're in your flat and you hear this. How would you feel? Scared? Anxious? I know I would be. How would you respond to a threat to kill that made you feel this way? Well, I know I'd bloody well call the police. And I'd sit there and be pretty terrified until they turned up.
I guess my point is that whilst you've had your good name sullied and probably been outraged and a little shaken up by the incident, what your neighbour did is likely to have been a perfectly reasonable response to what she thought happened. If your neighbour starts to do this on a regular basis, or starts to do things which put you at risk, then you'd have some sort of legal grounds to take action. As it stands, you just have an interesting tale to tell on forums and a funny anecdote to tell the grandkids
Sorry if I'm sounding unsympathetic: I'm aware that there's an unintentional harshness to my post, and I genuinely am sympathetic to the tricky situation you found yourself in. I guess I'm just trying to encourage some balance here in the discussion Now treat yourself to a stogie and feel your anger fade away...I'm still waiting for the whiskey to whisk me away
And I'm still waiting for the ashtray to lead me astray

Ok folks.
The neighbour is called Tina lol.
When the cat pissed on me I didnt shout, merely raised my voice and said ''AW for fucks sake caaaaat!''
In my broad West coast Scottish accent of course.
Im going to give you a bit of a back log story to this just so you all have a better understanding :P
OK so a few months we have had the police at the door a number of times about complaints about me playing electric guitar at 3am, always at 3am through to 7am. Now for starters my girlfriend (who happens to live here) would kick my nuts royally if i was playing electric guitar at 3am through to 7am. However, it is a tad hard to play electric guitar at that time in the morning when you DON'T OWN A FRIGGING ELECTRIC GUITAR !!
So these are the time of complaints that come our way on a frequent basis.
As for the evidence of MH. I will admit it is circumstantial, but if you were to meet this...ehm... achem, 'Lady', you would soon come to the understand, and belief that we have.
Also the flat below is is used for people who come out of ''The Christie'' ward at Vale of Leven Hospital. Funnily enough for MH patients. I wonder if this has anything to do with it ?

OK, so we have established that she has mental health needs, but I'm still having trouble seeing how that's relevant. I'm also not clear as to what sort of legal advice you're looking for. Is it because she's a nuisance neighbour and you're looking to see what can be done legally to resolve the problems you're having with her?
Have you tried talking to her? Maybe it would give you the chance to voice your frustrations, and it would show her that you're not a guitar-thrashing killer. Perhaps you can come to some sort of amicable solution.I'm still waiting for the whiskey to whisk me away
And I'm still waiting for the ashtray to lead me astray

Well Bambini, we have tried talking to her on a few occasions but its made no use. The woman is hearing things, i.e me playing giutar at daft o'clock and shouting death threats.
Basically, the advise i was looking for was whether or not i had a leg to stand on with someone who has a emotional and mental health problems, in the eyes of the law, court etc etc.
My local C.A.B are useless. They couldn't tell me anything and therefore asked me to come back on Monday.
