I own a few nice guitars. A tele, a strat, a martin and a taylor. Can’t play for shit though but find it relaxes me hugely. Any tips for a relative novice? It’s the strumming I struggle with more than chords.

Advice for guitar novice who wants to get better = practice practice practice you gotta put the hours in mate. Bleeding fingers and bloody blisters will toughen up your hands.
Pick songs with easy chords, G A D E C open chords. Practice more on acoustic guitars then show off on your electric

I play a bit, have dabbled since I was younger, got a strat and mainly play an epiphone les paul. Play blues, rock and have been learning Jazz for last couple of years.
Looking to upgrade to a Gibson at some point, may well pull the trigger soon, I've been looking.
If I was going to give any tips just slow everything down until you can play it perfectly and then start to increase the speed, that's how I've always learnt. Guitar pro is a good programme for this as you can play along with the tabs and slow everything down.
