I figured you wouldn't have listened to Autechre, I was just being facetious I love those guys, but it truly sounds like hot droid action.

And yes, there are too many genres. I blame NME and Pitchfork. Take metal for example. Doom? Thrash? Grindcore? All sounds like yelling about how much they hate whatever it is they feel so angry about me.

    Again, being facetious

With a bit of ability, why not write your own stuff and play it with others at an event you create yourself? I like to do that from time to time. Writing original stuff several hours a week currently. Uplifting.

Guys, if im honest with you, my creative side is lacking the last few months. Life tends to get in the way and i have a complete cow of a neighbour who phones the bacon any time i play my gtar after 10, which is the time im usually home from day to day hustle n bustle lol.

            Yeah spotify is great !
Blame NME, KERRANG and this bullshit corporation, monopolization called MT(we will take you for all you got) Jackson-flying-f***ing-V, and also that arrogant, money grabbing plebeian Simon Cowell for all the shite out there.

I love the fact that RATM had Christmas No#1 last year. Was a huge F.U to the whole system that say ''your going to listen to this whether you realise it or not''

            Rant...
            Appologies.

There's the expression that an album is 'a grower' and most of my stand-out albums have been like that. Perhaps the music just needs more listening?
I agree completely. It seems that in the last few years the ease and level of consumption of music has flattened it all out a bit, and even the great albums are great within a sea of good. I was just thinking about the very nature of playing digital music. One has access, either on a computer or in one's pocket, to virtually or actually an entire collection of music. This means that the physical process of grabbing, looking at, holding, and putting on the music is removed for the most part, so even the physicality of playing music is somewhat removed.

I'm not sure this is a bad thing, but the shift, while bringing quite a bit of new, means losing a bit of the old, which is what Radiohead are grappling with--what does it mean to even release an album in this day and age? Is there any way to do it such that it is truly special, or is it just more stuff out there, however good the stuff is?

Senor Robusto, any movement on a UKCF anthem?
It would make a swell B side* to your original hit "Senor Serious!"
                (see link on home page)

I was there - an amazing weekend.

A couple of things struck me.......

                  1. The age range of the bands playing.
                  2. The age range of the crowds listening to them.

"Has music lost something" - it didn't feel like it THAT weekend

Yeah I think its lost something in the morality range in the pop culture but not in my preffered scene. Yet again IMHO ! :P joke :P

The tent was great. I was standing just off one of the pits in the middle doing rock n rolla dancing haha.

                      Here, here. . .
I'd suggest we campaign to award him another medal (for: 'Outstanding visual gibberish'), but:
                      a) I want that one myself, and
                      b) He's already got more medals than a South American dictator (oooh, that makes you think, doesn't it, hmmn).

                      Yeah. . . couldn't agree more!
It's the only musical genre that I can't ... abide.

                      Never mind, as you were.

P.S. Is it O.K. to like 'Dance' music. . . and 'Opera'?
I only ask, cos people think I'm a little strange (can't think why?).

                      P.P.S. Lovin' this thread!
Great work - interesting musical selections.

Heavy HEAVY metal I cand stick, stuff like a band called rollo tomassi which I was dragged to watch at donnington this year afrer a friend toldthey were like a mix of pink floyd and iron maiden. Which couldnt be further from the truth! Its more like having a 2 P.T's on each side of you and putting their sgt. Peters in you ears and having rough, painfull intercourse with your brain. IMHO OF COURSE !

Check them out if u think u can stick it :P

You've been taking lessons off of TJCoro on how to make a post undecipherable methinks. I got some of that.

Watched one video. I think it's a cross between Iron Maiden on a really bad day & the crap from the toilet on acid. But that's just my opinion. LOL
