I cannot believe that anyone watchs any of the soaps, its all totally rubbish. There will be of course closet soap addicts that post denying all. Anway must dash Coronation st is on in a moment.

Roxie and Janine.

Also, I teach Drama for six hours a week. I can kick off a good lesson by referring to the action, drama, fights, crap in last night's EastEnders.

That works where Troilus and Cressida won't.

I never watch any soaps, they're very depressing and for me have no entertainment value at all.
I watch mainly football and the History and Nature channels.
I also like comedies, particularly the old ones, Dads Army/Carry On films/On the Buses/Steptoe/Hancock.

I'm hooked on Eastenders because it is a cartoon of parodied emotions, and that amuses me. I sit with my imaginary Cohiba and grin. I don't shout out, though.

Trouble is teens of a certain type think that EastEnders is what life is actually like. If there's not a climax every two minutes, they're bored.

Young people, eh!? What's to be done?...

I did think that Scarface was like Dynasty when Pacino is in Bolivia. The big tacky home and gardens scenes. I looked at the helicopter with a guy dangling from a rope overhead and craved padded shoulders and Krystal in a cut-away shot looking to the sky and holding Blake's sleeve.

Now Dynasty was the best of laughs! One of the best, in fact!
