For those of you how are interested in history & haven't read it before, I see my Blog has made the cross over & is still available for viewing. Best managed in small bites, preferably with a robusto or larger. Go back 3 pages & you'll find parts 1 a & b, all parts are labelled but not necessarily in order.

Remembering our first loss, the first RN ship sunk in action since WWII & the loss of those 22 good men. The monument is hung in Sheffield Cathedral, I didn't even know it existed until yesterday; one piece of modern sculpture I can appreciate.

Aye Neil: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARA_General_Belgrano & it was sunk on the 2nd May. That's when we knew we were in a war & retaliation would be swift. It was. I do remember the dead from both sides, both were just doing their duty.
