2020 Cigar Of The Year

Thought a thread where we could share our favourite smokes of the year would be a good way to close the year out.

For me, the standout has been a Bolivar RC Tubos from 2008 and the reason I’m smoking it today as my last cigar of the year. Flavour outstanding, smooth and excellent construction.

For me- the best stick I think I’ve had this year is the Monti Supremos! Young but such outstanding flavours that were quite literally smack in the face!

Only going to get better too 🥰

There were a few great cigars this year. Favourite were a few Mercaderes. That could have something with the glorious summer days in the garden during lockdown #1.

Others were a 2016 Topes, 2010 Monte 1, Bolivar Petit Belicosos.

I have a very special H Upmann EL 2005 lined up for my magic cigar of 2021. Thanks to another legend Simon Bolivar

Not smoked as many cigars as I normally have in the past....however this year I did have me EL RE and aged stock than before

The one which was fantastic was Ramon Allones Phoenicio 35...gutted I sold half the box now...wish I kept on to them now

Mine has to be R&J fabulous.Purely for the fact I will never smoke another and probably never even see another. This was kindly gifted and shared with my good friend RCH martyn,and considering the age and condition it was a great smoke.

I couldn't separate the following 3 from my best cigar of 2020 - a stunning vintage RyJ Churchill with the old style band (not sure of the year); Trinidad Topez and the magnificent Cohiba Double Corona.

I have two in mind which stood out for me one Cuban and one NC. Stand out Cuban has to be Bolivar Royal Carona (tubo) - still young at 2016 but just fantastic - everything a cuban cigar should be right down to the nub. The standout NC for me has to be discovering the Casdagli/Bespoke DotW Cremello - a beautiful creamy/caramel lancero

Mine probably the H Upmann Magnum 46 (2015 IIRC) enjoyed yesterday evening, under the stars beside the fire pit in the garden with a port and brandy. Not had one in a while, great smoke. But I enjoy them all

It's between an '06 Quai D'orsay Panatela and a RyJ Cedros Deluxe which really suprised me a few months ago with how good it was.

Before the Monte Especial it was a Fundadores I smoked what seems like an age ago at The Cigar Lounge in Derby, was only in March 😅
