I'd love to get my hands on the above, and will add some more derby extra and feathers to the mix if anyone would like those?

CloseEmBoth + Watkins: pm me where you want them sent to and I'll get them on their way

jibjob: I've pretty much settled on the Wilkinson Sword DE blades. I find the Feathers are a bit too sharp for me!! They give a very close shave, but leave my skin a bit dry and I can only seem to use them once, and on the 2nd and 3rd shave they seem to cut my face to ribbons!

The Wilkinson give a very close shave with no irritation at all, and I can get 5 or 6 really good shaves out of them. I'm using them with a Merkur Futur.

I have just had some shark blades delivered and am going to give them a go later!
I love the feathers and they are my stock blade in the fatboy but as with everything , I just want to try more, always looking for something slightly better than perfection?!?!?!!! To be fair I guess we are all like this to some extent or we wouldn't be here on this forum!

            A true Gentleman.....take a bow Monkeynuts

Many thanks to Monkeynuts, who kindly sent me an assortment of spare blades to try that he had left over from a sampler.

I love the Feather so far, but as others have said, not a blade to be rushed, and am also looking forward to giving the Astra a go.

And an additional big thank you for the little extra that arrived, not just the blades but a Bolivar RC as well. This is one that I have been meaning to try for some time but just not got around to it.

I am at a Game night at our favorite restaurant tomorrow night, so a nice shave to start with and the Boli RC will be coming with me for afterwards.

Many thanks Geoff, you are a true Gent

My problem is that the beard on my neck seems to grow at all angles and just sweeping the blade down don't cut it! I always have to cut against the grain and it causes my neck to go red. Any tips?

I have a similar issue the growth on my neck is backwards, I just do three passes as best I can, are you maybe using too much pressure?

Also I find that very short almost scrubbing strokes work very well in difficult areas, but be carefull its easy to get wrong
