Simple really, any traditions you or your family do each Christmas?

    Anything goes!

Other than getting shitfaced and arguing the only real tradition is to go the mother in laws and eat enough food to feed 5000

I know. I got them this card a few years ago. They find it hilarious, it comes out every year. Followed by the arguments...

I was thrown out of my parents house a few years back on Christmas day because we decided to talk about Brexit. Didn't speak to my step Dad for 6 months!

Wow, that was bad, I assume your relationship with your step father wasn't great before hand? Must have ruined the day for your mother though, hope things are better these days. Having grandchildren usually plasters over the cracks.

Nothing too exciting here, work Christmas eve and get home around 10.15 Xmas day.

I still walk down to my nans house even though she passed on 7 years ago, suppose that's one albeit a bit shit.

Things are fine now. But I definitely don't agree with their politics.

I guess one tradition I have is that I seem to have worked 60-70% of Christmas's since I joined up at 18yo (had that one off as I was still in training). When I am working my wife & daughter like to check into a London hotel & spend a quiet day there & then walk through the almost empty streets of London after lunch. If I am onboard I don't do any 'work' apart from seeing any patients that manage to find me. I try & smoke at least 3 cigars, which is more than at home where I'll only get time for one.

If I am home I go Midnight mass & the morning service. Then on to to my Sister's for the day, with my wife & daughter; joined by my mother, my bro-in-law's mother, father & uncle. Bro' does all the cooking every yr. so I bring all the wine & a bottle or port & smokes.

Nephew goes beating for the shooting on Boxing day & I go fishing. New Yr is a non event with us, this time, we'll leave UK on 30th (missing the queues that will be there after NY & just be the two of us in Antwerp, celebrating CET NY & then GMT NY.

All change for me so I'm making my own new traditions.
On my own Xmas Day so I'm going for a drive and could end up anywhere.
