Worth checking whether the pesto in question does actually have pine nuts in it too. Our daughter is allergic to peanuts so we're generally wary about nuts, turns out the pesto we'd been giving her actually had cashews in it instead of pine nuts!

My chef mate makes fresh pesto as a sideline and it sells for up to £10 for a small jar but you can really taste the difference in quality against long life s/m stuff that costs a couple of quid.
