To be fair, I have always wondered why these were allowed to be sold in the first place, hardly meets the spirit of the Paris agreement I am sure.. I never bought one for our patio but have huddled under them at pubs when smoking. The only way to make they should work is like the one at CASC Aberdeen. They have them on 10min timers i.e. when someone vacates the area, they don't nee to turn it off & leaving them burning for hrs with no one using them. My local cafe had them on all day last winter & I suggested timers. Because once they get the bill in for heating the town all day they tend to remove them.

I can recommend thermal underwear, never get cold fishing & if sitting for an hour or two outside with a few cigars, worth dressing up for the occasion!

I agree. Im not a great ecowarrior but even so, ive always thought heating the great outdoors a rather odd thing to do
