Having brought back some cheap Cigars from Mexico, can they be made better by steaming? Or leaving in a bag with Potatoes? Any answers?

Making a cheap Cigar better?

I don't think cheap cigars can be made be, cigars only get better with age and this only usually applies to premium cigars and mostly cubans.
The only thing I can think of is to get absolutely hammered and then smoke one and it may feel a little better?"The best cigar you'll ever smoke is the one you're smoking at the minute" - Zino Davidoff

All cigars get better with age in my opinion. Cheap ones just never usually get good enough no matter how long.
Your best bet is to smoke the cheap ones when you're fishing. That way if it ever gets to a decision of "It's either the fish or the cigar" you can rest easy throwing away the cigar.Business in the front. Party in the back.

I did the freezing, thawing, re-invigorating thing with my mate's Cuban banana cigars. I'm sure the two of them sucked up all the lovely humidity in my humi and left my good babes dry. In the end I had to bin them as the joy had gone. The one I smoked reminded me of a King Edward and all that is firmly in the past.
