Ok, there are NO Cigars in mexico, in any small towns, as Mexicans DO NOT smoke them! Even in towns or cities, it can be hard to find them, and they are dry, old and not worth having!

A place called Vallodolid offers the best chance of a cheap good Cigar. Across the Square are two shops, both selling Cigars. Go to the right hand one, and they sell Cigars starting from 15 Pesos. ( 72 pence).

They have about 5 different cigars, but a belter is Aroma!

Smooth, aromatic and a good taste.

Everywhere else sells feke Cuban, Havanas. Even when you point this out, you are dismissed, and told, .... the Americans will buy them!

There is no such thing as a cheap cigar in Mexico!!

Bob, would have to agree with you regarding the fake cubans in Mexico, the place is coming down with them, but then again you can get fake cubans in any country, but yes Mexico does seem to have a lot!

I don't know about the small towns in Mexico, but I think it can be handly enough to get legit cubans in the bigger cities. A lot of the bigger cities have La Case del Habano stores, which is really the only place I'd go in Mexico to buy cigars.

My friends, you are talking about my beloved state of mind - Mexico. Yes, Mexico probably has more counterfeit CCs than any other country, but you have to admit that the glass-top Cohiba boxes are pretty cool.

I agee, the best places to go in Mexico are the LCDHs. There is a nice one in TJ that has a great selection and a wonderful host - Moises. And the Mojitos they serve complimentary are perfecto! You can also find legit CCs in Cabo San Lucas, if you are careful, which is where I will be in a month basking in the sun.

I will take my own CCs though, because the prices are extremely high there.

      Viva la Mexico!

I liked Mexico when I crossed from El Paso to Juarez on foot. I preferred New Mexico and Texas, though.

I bought no cigars in Juarez. It was a strange place with many cheap dentists for you US citizens.

Day trip to Mexico. That's me.
