Just to add my own thoughts, I am totally gutted that I missed out on this.

Since Nicwing whetted our appetite on the Herf section regarding some sort of upcoming event in Edinburgh I've been watching the Robert Grahams website and the last event listed on their site is a herf in 2009!!!

Just to be clear Nicwing, I wasn't criticising you.

Merely that because you'd mentioned an upcoming event I was watching Robert Grahams website just in case something came up.

You would have thought that a visit from a Cuban roller was worth mentioning in their news or events section.

How about a introducing yourself in the newbie section?

You do have a valid point about the retailers doing some legwork but you have to remember they are local stores and do not necessarily have an internet presence. Plus they may only get the info out to their direct locality and some of us live a couple of citys away where we have our own local press, etc

I would love to get emails from a site I chose to join, about a hobby I love. This would inform me about things like this, new releases, etc.

I wouldnt see an all encompasing infrequent email(monthly or weekly) as spam especially if I subscribed to it. (think about it as a list of tour dates for your favorite band, you cant go to all the shows but you may not mind traveling)
          +1

Nicely put Kdot....and with no swearing too. Well done
