I should probably take better care of my CAs. I tend to keep them under the sink and pull them out when I drop anchor.

In the late 90s, I started buying French cigar magazines. (I'm fluent in French). Rather than Lear Jet leather seat ratings, one magazine went into depth about cigars - mostly Havanas - as well as great restaurants. A good number of the chefs were interviewed smoking their favourite cigars and discussing them. Wine was also discussed in depth.
Another magazine addressed women and cigars, sex and cigars, matter-of-factly and naturally. It was done not as Dutch hardcore, not as British Carry On Coming Milf. Nothing top shelf about this. I thought the whole thing was perfectly photographed and delivered, and it sort of confirmed to me yet again that the British - the English - are really in weird chains when it comes to sex. This magazine was not a porn mag. It addressed all the things that Cigar Aficionado would address - in detail and seriousness - and then had a section devoted to sex and cigars.
I lobbed these mags down the builders' chute too, alas. I should have kept them. Both magazines are still published and sit there in any hypermarche rack as you totter by for nice olives.
It's interesting to see cigars "tackled" really well in another language, another culture.
Healthy, in fact. At ease.

Christ. I slam the English and sex, and then have to make cigars and women et al nicely acceptable in a pompous sentence like that.
Guilty of gross Englishness. Take me down.
The French would just shrug their shoulders and get on with it.

I just buy a years subscription from the publisher, shipped from America straight to my door and is cheaper than ordering from a local newsagent or whatever."The best cigar you'll ever smoke is the one you're smoking at the minute" - Zino Davidoff

Bryan, I've actually got it a little wrong, I've checked on the Cigar Aficionado website and a years subscription is $56 (about ?41 for 6 issues).
When I ordered my subscription the exchange rate was better so it worked out cheaper for me per issue. I think if you ordered it from a newsagent or whatever it might cost you about ?5.50 so because of the poor exchange rate a present the years subscription from Cigar Aficionado magazine may be a little bit more expensive, although the upside is the post man will stick it through your door and you'll not have to keep running to the newsagent to get it. Another advantage is that I've found the magazine arrives at least a week or more earlier when ordered from the website than through a local newsagent.
It's up to you mate.
Another alternative if you don't want to pay for a years subscription is that there's usually people selling issues on Ebay although these maybe a an issue or two behind?"The best cigar you'll ever smoke is the one you're smoking at the minute" - Zino Davidoff
