Get a couple of these packs [you need 2 of them for a humidor/enclosure that holds up to 50 cigars]. They are cheap and very easy. No need to bother with the puck imho. it might prove to the be easiest and most reliable solution to start with...

I use some tupperware euivalents for long term storage. If you stuff a larger tupperware container with a couple of boxes, leaving a minimum of space empty, the cigars will keep enough humidity if you don't open the container frequently.
