Many thanks to you all for your best wishes and support it was very much appreciated.
Op was quite straightforward, 2 hours on the cutting table then back to ward in time for tea.
Best bit was that rather than the general anaesthetic I was told I'd get, I was given the option of an epidural so was able to watch the procedure on the screen.
Anyway, sitting here with a knee like a football waiting for the wife to pick me up to go home. Approx 4 to 6 weeks of very restricted activity with at least the first 3 on crutches but will be worth it in the end.
