  • Pre-op nerves and no cigar for respite.

Tomorrow's the big day for me. Go in to get knee ligaments reconstructed at last.
Been wanting it sorted for ages as its stopping me from doing a lot of things I enjoy, but that hasn't stopped the day before apprehension!
Really wound up about it today. Want it done, not particularly worried about it but just wound up. Think its more wondering what I'm going to do with myself for the first 3 to 4 weeks after when I'll be stuck on crutches. Strange feeling and one that I know a good puro would allay, but not allowed one for at least 24 hrs before op according to the bumf.
Would have been inclined to ignore that advice but the wife inclined to hit me with a large stick (not of the finest tobacco type) should I venture within a few yards of the Humi.
Anyway will hopefully only be in overnight so should manage to get back on here to find out whats happening by Wednesday at latest.
Y'all behave while I'm away now.
    Cheers Guys.
    Rab

All the best, mate. (I think the two hours I was out for a hernia op a couple of years ago were just about the best hours of my life!).

Good luck with your op mate, im in again on 25th June and 1st July at Grantham, should be my last operations, then up to 6 weeks sick leave for healing process.. not looking forward to it in one breath, but cant wait in the next. Cant cancel these ops either or they breach NHS charter, so my ops have been guaranteed.

Unlike the Lion of OZ you have courage from the beginning so this will be easy for you
Think positive and the heeling process is quicker & easier .
In my mind all day and if you need anything let me know.
