How did a whole Star Wars debate pass me by?

The whole midichlorians debacle was weak. Making Anakin some kind of Jesus figure not conceived of man was a cop-out. This is the boy who will grow into the biggest bad-ass on the silver screen and he was created by micro-organisms intent on balance? And it came bundled in a film that delivered the bitter pill of Jar-Jar Binks. Lame.

Senator Palpatine / Emperor = Cohiba Panatellas. They were after all for diplomats and the skinnier ring gauge would look more evil poking from beneath his cowl.

Darth Vader = NUB Maduro 464T. Black and red with some power, enough said. He could wedge that nice torpedo end between the grill on his helmet!

Han Solo = Partag?s Salom?nes. Constantly wedged in the mouth for an authentic gunslinger feel, Eastwood gone space-age.

Luke Skywalker = Montecristo No.4. Loved worldwide, a nice middle of the field stick that never disappoints. Unless you're a Taun-taun.

Leia Organa = Cohiba Siglo VI Gran Reserva. A smoke truly deserving of an ass-whipping rebel princess with a one-shot-kill blaster (Star Wars Battlefront).

Yoda = Partag?s Culebras. Smoked 3 at a time. "Never believe I managed it you will" crazy little green bastard.

Chewbacca = Trinidad Robusto T. Because a Wookie can smoke whatever a Wookie wants to smoke.

Lee you've reminded me of a quote from Fanboys. As some filler Eric's brother Chaz has spent the movie degrading nerds and ripping on his brother for it. This line is in the queue outside Phantom Menace on premier night.

i used to be such a massive star wars geek, im trying to kick the habbit now though, ive still got my old action figure collection up in the attic ready to flog on ebay on a rainey day.
I still love the origionals 3, i also liked attack of the clones quite a lot too, phantom menace was entertaining but unnecesary, and revenge of the sith was badly acted and didnt show you the good bits...
George lucas: heres an army of wookies about to have an epic battle with a droid army! But you dont realy want to see that do you? nah lets cut to a scene with Hayden Christensen looking moody, Yeah... i know what the fans want.

Lol great post Son of, I was very lucky as a kid, my Grandad and Dad originally owned a chain of Toy shops. We got every figure inc some that kenner gave out to store owners only. We had the unpainted rocket firing Boba fett , they made 95 i think as samples, but the rocket proved a choking hazard so never went into production (saw one go in an auction for over $5000). I still have the entire collection, including the rare creature cantina (canadian only version) the cardboard death star , plus multiples of the last 17 (the rarest of the series as kenner went bust 6 months after making them) I also have the vinyl caped jawa, blue snaggletooth etc etc. Pretty much every ship, all still boxed, and wrapped in cardboard in the attic.


More modernly i have the Gentle giant busts, Master Replica Helmets and full size sabres. They are very hard to get now, Master replicas lost the license in 2007, some of the helmets are ?1000 a piece now. Pretty much every trading card made, including the one off hand drawn sketch cards, autographs etc. I even have resin copied taken from the screen used sabres, sold to me by one of the sabre technicians.

So you can pretty much say my life was taken by star wars, i have sold a lot of my collection, and intend to sell the rest to collectors i know from the collectors club, when the time is right. As i said in another post, my wife will be very happy.

I believe it was my mother who gave away my collection of Star Wars toys. Between that and taping over the end of Blues Brothers things have never been the same.

I was yes, when kenner went bust, the bagged up the last 17 figures in kenner "baggies". Just 5 figures in a plastic bag. We had a flood at the old shop one year, the boxes of baggies got soaked. I ended up with about 10 amanamans and a couple of dozen yak faces. I think the yaks go for 80 a piece now, used to be 120 a piece years ago at the fairs

Its crazy what I have and used to have stashed away. I even have a prototype transformer , a little train that literally folds in half and its arms pop out. Again can't put a price on it as only 50 are in existence
