    What are they thinking?
    --------------------------------------------------
There are 10 kinds of people in this world.
Those that understand binary, and those that don't.

I never realised that my opinion of American stupidity was actually underplaying the situation...

PS. Just so that I don't offend any of our wonderful cousins, I am (of course) referring to individual acts of stupidity, not a general comment on the nation.

I said this would happen when they brought the smoking ban in... everyone laughed at me.

Must be a very good joke!
No man has the right to fix the boundary of a nation.
No man has the right to say to his country, "Thus far shalt thou go and no further."

              Salt ban in NYC

Looks like some crackpot private members bill. Big government throws up these idiocies regularly.

It's only a matter of time before some suit here has a go.
Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.

Love to see them try to put that into practice. "salt in any form".
Woohoo, soy sauce, bouillion, msg, salted butter etc all out. Is it only sodium type salt or just salts in general? Does it mean a ban on using bananas? They contain potassium, a salt.
What a lot of the usual badly thought out, knee jerk, beauraucratic bulls**t from some pillock who likes the sound of his own voice, even if it makes him look like an ar*ehole.

Rant over. As you were chaps.

In the nation of Lucky Charms, Twinkies and Mountain Dew, where almost a third of adults are technically obese, it's salt that they want to outlaw?

Thank you, you've just reminded me of my favourite Mark Twain quote: "It's better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt..." That man knew how to use words.

Eloquence was never my strong point. Same sentiment, only Mark Twain's version much better for use in polite company.
                              My apologies Gents.
