Gee, I was going to complain about the 12% we are being hit with starting now to July 1 but now I feel a bit sheepish.
Just one more reason that The Mother Country has priced itself beyond our travel budgets. I was telling folks here about typical taxi fares in London (and why I have an Oyster Card and ride The Tube from LHR) and they were shocked, I tell you, shocked.
Your cigar prices already rivaled ours in the totally silly price department but now you will be taking the prize for sure. I'd better top up the travel budget with CUCs because I sense that I'll not be needing any Euros or GBP in the near future.
My condolences. Stock those humidors, and if you can't manage a Trip to "That Special Island" (and we're not talking Bali Hi here boys) I know that both Gib and Switzo are very nice in the spring.
