Its classed as a perishable food product and therefore its not allowed to be sent.. yet saying that, you can buy it in some shops (not nice stuff) and thats imported from overseas... one rule to sell crap and another from getting decent home made stuff off mates.. as with everything else in the UK another dual standard

Biltong is South African (provenance). You can get nice tasting US style jerky in Sainsbury's and Tesco.

Sending Hazardous Waste through the post isn't allowed George. Well, except if you're the UK Government then by night, in secret, by train is OK.

Really sorry to hear about that mate. I happen to like jerkey myself. Kind of strange particularly when you can actually buy the stuff (though at a much higher price, with significantly less variety not to mention quality!) at your local Sainsburys.

Very odd rule - Is it euro bollocks or did we think of that one ourselves?

I'm a bit confused here. Georky is not available in ANY shops, ANYWHERE.

Georky is made exclusively by me, DBA Rev. George, and is, arguably, the finest dried meat product on planet Earth. Georky is not perishable, having a half-life of something on the order of 12 billion years, thus would be exempt from customs' ruling.

That's my story and I'm sticking with it.
