Its classed as a perishable food product and therefore its not allowed to be sent.. yet saying that, you can buy it in some shops (not nice stuff) and thats imported from overseas... one rule to sell crap and another from getting decent home made stuff off mates.. as with everything else in the UK another dual standard
Really sorry to hear about that mate. I happen to like jerkey myself. Kind of strange particularly when you can actually buy the stuff (though at a much higher price, with significantly less variety not to mention quality!) at your local Sainsburys.

Georky is made exclusively by me, DBA Rev. George, and is, arguably, the finest dried meat product on planet Earth. Georky is not perishable, having a half-life of something on the order of 12 billion years, thus would be exempt from customs' ruling.
hmm... i sent out 2 packets that day... both to the uk... this one got seized... but the other one to my best friend there didn't... i wrote jerky on both...weird...
