You know what, I hope they do make it to the UK. I have 2 teens, one of which will be driving in just under 2 years, they will be perfect

I don't know, seen a lot of worse looking cars. My eldest son is learning just now with money he's saved. At the moment he could probably get either a reasonable second hand car, or pay the insurance for it but not afford the car.
With this he could get a new car & insurance.

And for the little uns... 4 wheels has got to be safer than 2 on these roads.

I agree with the guys that think this is a good little car.

My son could be learning in 18 months time and neither my car (a 4x4) or my wifes (a 2ltr convertible) is really suitable - but that little motor could well be the answer.

Well it beats my first car. Many people are expecting big things from Geely in the coming years, and some speculate that China will be at the centre on the automotive industry within 10 to 15 years. As the article says they've recently bought Volvo from Ford so are already getting their foot in the door in Europe. Many of the members on the Volvo Performance Club's forum welcomed the news too.

I sold my VXR as it was a group 20 and cost me a grand a year in tyres, mainly because my wife wanted to learn and I didn't want her learning with 300 bhp lol. Now its gone, she's not bothering to learn lol.

My daughter is working hard for her grades, she really wants to go to Med school, so I promised her a brand new car if she gets them. This will save me a fortune and be practical for her.

And when she's raking it in as a doc she can buy you another 300bhp VXR
