thanks for the well wishes everybody!
the driveway has been repaired with a few well placed railroad ties and some gravel spreading. the garden will be re-tilled and replanted as soon as it dries up. my favorite white chair was rescued from a nearby ditch. things are almost back to what passed for normal around here...lolComment

On that chair, I do think you ought to get it a companion or two. It looks kinda lonely on it's own out there an' sorta suggests that any good ol' boys poppin' over for a smoke have to sit on the lawn.

Good luck with the cleanup. After all the snow here, I went to cut the grass only to find that most of the loose chippings from my driveway had ended up in the grass! It's amazing how the weather changes even my own wee micro landscape! Good luck with yours!No man has the right to fix the boundary of a nation.
