  • Zippo

Just thought I'd let you all know that I took advantage of Zippo's "guaranteed for like" boast and sent my Zippo off to Germany as the hinge on the cap needed repairing.

Got it back yesterday with a brand new insert with new wick and wadding, a new hinge and the brass had been polished to perfection!

    Bravo Zippo!

Zippo is a great lighter especially with a ZPlus insert.

Yep Zippo are goddamn brilliant, I screwed on the lighter flint replacing screw too tight and broke it off, sent it off to get replaced and it was back in a week with a brand new insert, new wick, new wadding!

Zippo's have the go-anywhere savoir-faire. I prefer matches to anything else!

Good to hear. Mine needs some attention, I fill it up and it's empty a day later, doesn't seem to take as much fuel as it used to. Still love it though...only for ciggies though!

Yep, they wont repair the shell, but the inner working are guaranteed for ever. Your great great grandson could send it in and they will replace it. As long as they havent gone under by then ofcourse :P

That's not a Zippo, THIS is a Zippo.

OK a Counterfeit Zippo. (My brother, he works in the Zippo factory, his house is just there. For you: finest quality!)

Takes an entire can of lighter fluid to fill and sure enough, just like a real Zippo, "it's empty a day later".

Hard to judge the size so I added a provocative CD for reference. Here is one that I'll bet even Nic has not heard.

lmao, that's feckin' huge! Mine just doesn't seem to take as much fuel anymore either, so at least there's a reason for it being empty the day after. Although I last filled mine up Wednesday and it's still working this morning.

I didn't even know of the existence of the ZPlus inserts, I'd heard of the Blu but I already have a couple of Zippo's from my cigarette smoking days that'd be great with replaced internals.
