Do you think any of the owners of the companies we all work for realize that you are on the UK forum ?

Part of my job is keeping an eye on stories on the web or looking for information about certain topics so i always have an excuse to be browsing and i only do it when i'm not busy. I work long hours and don't take breaks. It's my version of solitary or minesweepers to calm the mind to be more productive later and it is actually encouraged as long as it isn't abused

My company is very strict about what we view online, seems this is one of the places I can goto. the rest of the people in my team know I'm into cigars and joke when I volunteer to be oncall that I must be after another box of something.

They have no idea but then again they would not care since I work on computers all day and my breaks usually consist of browsing a website or two with our unfettered internet access.

And when I worked with you I did nothing but surf, for six years!*

Oh my god those ROCK. Some of the best food and booze you can find and at a staggeringly reaonable price, for the lunch anyway. Dinner costs a mortgage but lunch not at all.

I did stagger back a little worse for wear didn't I, and whoever my chosen work victim was, LOL.

Birthday in April, I feel a lunch booking comming on.

Were only allowed access to Ministry of Justice approved sites, everything else is blocked, if i try to access any site other than approved ones like UKCF we get a message that says, the site is blocked for whatever reason and our user access gets logged. I use my phone from work to acess anything unrelated like Ebay or forums etc.

Web access here at work is limited to an hour a day, so I often just dip in and out to check for new posts, can't stay logged on.

Think I need one of the clocks that chess players use, or a stop watch to time my 60mins!

We are all monitored heavily at work so until I get myself a decent web enabled phone I will have to stick to posting at home. God dam you BIG BORTHER!!!!!

I find the free version of tapatalk on the iphone extremely easy to use and very fast, probably faster that using a computer for checking new posts.
