My hobby is my work. And I have a reasonable collection of fine music, my estimation, from classical to world music. One of my favourite bands is the Chieftains. I love jigs and reels and the melancholy sounds. Music was important when I wrote screenplays. Even Morgan Freeman, who once gave me a letter of intent, liked my soundtrack compilation. The film didn't happen because I wasn't experienced enough to package the project and Morgan went on to stardom.
And, I have great respect for soldiers and the military, as you might see on my personal page.
I spent a month in Alberta last year and the support that Canadians give to their military, indeed ANY military, is fantastic. Came home with a fantastic 'Canada Thanks You' shirt that I swapped my unit rugby shirt for whilst in a drunken haze at a RCL branch in Cochrane. What a month! I'd happily move there tomorrow.
As I mentioned, I've been in a couple of bands, but now I pretty much, uh, play with myself. Here's my rig for that, which includes a les paul studio, a fender bass, an American strat (I wanted one of these ever since I saw my first picture of Jimi Hendrix), and a nice effects set-up with a boss loop station (which is a blast):
I'm also a big fan of Takashi Amano fish tanks, a kind of Japanese aquascaping that includes a lot of emphasis on design. Here's my go at it:
That's a nice aquarium. I've had a couple of tanks before, not got one at the minute though. Been looking at the Fluval Osaka tanks...they're beautiful!
Those fluvals do look really nice--expensive. Though, unfortunately, I have a lot of Amano products, they are not cheap. I see you're into photography, which is Amano's other line of work:
Beautifull setup mate. I have kept lake malawi cichlids for about 10 years. I'm making plans at the moment to start a reef tank, I always wanted one but an old marine tank owner at my local aquatic centre told me to do my "apprenticeship" on cichlids first. I've finally got the nerve to start planning

I had malawi cichlids for a bit--very beautiful, though I wanted to be able to do more with the aquascaping. I commend you on the move to marine. Always been a dream of mine, and the planning stage is one of the best parts of putting a tank together.
