The House Of Cigarsmoke has taken a double hit.

Cigarsmoke is out of work due to the company I worked for going into liquidation.

More importantly, Son Of Cigarsmoke is going in to hospital today for a heart valve replacement op tomorrow.

Can I ask all my fellow BOTL to send your thoughts and prayers to Son Of at this difficult time for him.

    Thanks guys

The House Of Cigarsmoke will return

Oh dear. What a situation to find yourselves in.

All the best to Son of Cigarsmoke - my fingers are crossed for an event free op and a speedy recovery.

That's a ditto .... and that all your troubles disappear very quickly.

Sorry to hear both your bits of news. Hope everything goes well for Sonof and wishing him a speedy recovery.

Any chance he will be fit enough to take a place on the right wing for England in the World cup?

I echo this and other posts on this thread. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
For what its worth I have two close friends, one in his 70's and one late 40's who have recently undergone similar ops and have both had successful recoveries. While no op of this sort is without its obvious risks, they are now so much more common to be almost routine and, as such are so much more successful. I wish your son luck and my hopes and prayers for a speedy recovery.
                    All the best.
