  • On the lighter side of life....

So today, my best friend, Jimmeh, got fired. HEHEHEHEHE, what a giggle. Five months into his new job, enough to get his evil parents off his back, and they go and can him.

So I invite him around for a smoke, drink, pizza and movie. We watch a happy cheerful film, The Hurt Locker (what a giggle). I ply him with scotch (which he does not like, but he drank all my rum on Friday). I feed him pizza, garlic bread, coleslaw, cake, fresh bread, pate and good ham (he is on a diet, they are the most fattening things I could lay my hands on). He is dreading telling his mother about his job loss more than the actual redundancy. All I can do is remind him that when he does tell his mother he just knows she will be thinking she adopted the wrong cut price baby in the last stop orphanage, the last chance for them before organ harvesting.

Well all this made me feel MUCH better about not being able to make next months mortgage payment, hehehe, every cloud.

Bad luck Jim, it'll get better.

Take no notice of that bitter, twisted Mr T...after all we are talking about a man who thinks The Hurt Locker is one-handed viewing

        aw thats bollocks

i myself now am wondering how im gonna pay summers rent, let alone fund the band
its all bollocks really isnt it?
i gigged tonight at a highly respectable venue, for a score thats taken days and days of real time work to complete for pennies, and the poor people that put us on have to get volunteer labour as they're earning so little. where the fuck is all the money?
and im starting at the poster of the workers in partagas factory thinking fuck these people slave away for less than we'll ever earn. and a best mate of mine has just been made redundant with a child on the way

jimmeh theres a few lusitanias and hoyo DCs waiting here for you, on the house. the ship is sinking, gods away on business but theres always room for a smoke.

            Sorry to hear that Jim.

Looks like we are all going to be standing outside the window of Davidoff gazing lovingly at the Behike and wondering what it really tastes like.

"ne illegitimea carborundum" as my Dad used to say, that's your actual Greek that is!

Any one else looking at taking up a pipe?

Wow James, if you didn't have the comfort of a good friend like Trevor I would feel really bad for you

Look at it as a chance to get a better job that will allow you to smoke more highend cigars! Hope you get it all sorted soon.
