I reckon you'd love the South Park Guitar Hero episode if you haven't seen it.

I found myself trying to keep them behind me so they wouldn't get killed (and felt guilty and annoyed if they did!!!).

I need my head examined ... I know ... seriously!

Reminds me of the 'South Park' episode 'Guitar Queer'o' (available online), where the boys spend hours and hours perfecting how to press four coloured buttons on a plastic guitar in time to the music ... if they're gonna invest that much time into it .. why don't they learn how to play a 'real' one in the first place??

EDIT: Sorry Dave crossed post, I was having a brew and gazing into space as per usual.

LOL i was the same, still am . Its even worse in mmorgs mate as you have someone screaming at you to not let them die. I used to spend more time in guild raids with my online friends than with my real life friends at one point

i know what you mean there dub, i was massively into final fantasy XI for a few months and spent more time with online friends than the real ones!
with final fantasy XIV looming round the corner, i fear the same may happen again. but at least the online friends won't complain about the cigar smoke when i light up before a raid

while I have a massive telly I very rarely use it to watch TV, I use my 48" LCD as my PC screen so all those downloaded movies and tv shows I get from my friend 'Don Load' look fantastic. All I use actual tele broadcasts for now are the occasional documentaries really.

i love my american dramas, the wire, lost, dexter etc but I watch all these online.
i'll never get a TV, any odd program that is actually any good i can always download/stream online.
I kind of aggree, but I do have a TV and a DVD player as I love my movies and, as Lascaux says, american drama... so I just buy the box sets.

I don't have a sky box, but I would miss some of the documentaries on the BBC without a terrestrial telly. Although funnily enough I usually watch them on the i player!

I know a couple who have never had a TV.
I've been in their company quite a few times over the years when somebody asks something like "Did you see 'Big Brother' last night?"
When they reply that they do not have a television, the person who posed the original question almost always gives an embarrassed/guilt-laden response such as, "Well I just have one for the news, the odd documentary, etc." as if having a television makes them less intelligent.
The best answer, finally, came when one woman simply said "Why not? they only cost 100 quid".

Well i watch less and less TV ive got an expensive 7:1 set up and to really enjoy films have to wait for the neighbors to go out, I watch live sport HD and films mainly , but seriously thinking of dumping Sky. But love good DVD's the sound scares the crap out of ya.
