Avoiding Work

I've got to write something important on the PC today and have avoided getting on with it this morning by:

• Getting my hair cut short in town like a Royal Marine
• Taking my dog for a very long walk with a P2
• Washing up
• Listening to some tracks I've got to learn to play for next Saturday
• Faffing for about an hour on Facebook, email, a music forum an on UKCF

I am thinking about the job I've got to do all the time (yeah, right) but I've now got to clear a table and get on with it.

I just wondered how anybody else avoids getting on with work.

I'm going to start now.

Work? I've heard it talked about before, but never experienced it myself.

If I've got stuff to do I tend to get stuck in and get it over with, then I treat myself to a cup of tea, a good stick and some crap DVD.... Tales of the Gold Monkey at the moment! lol

i'm watching Ireland v Italy rugby which has become so boring in 2nd half that I could consider doing some work instead.

Nah! I'll just tough it out.

Come the better weather I will be working weekends selling fishing gear on the local car boot sales and then I get to smoke even more cigars

That job has taken me til now to finish.
Bloody hell.

At least my head will be clear for a NBZ learnathon and an online band wigout (beneath wraps) tomorrow afternoon out into the Dover ether and beyond...

Piano parts to thrash out.
Tomorrow will definitely be a more fruitful day.

In fact, the phrase "to gird one's loins" comes from an old Turkmenistani custom of wrapping dried llama intestines round and round one's pork loin before weaving into one's dreadlocks.
