  • Anyone fluent in German?

I need the following translated into German:

"Did you show us how you weren't a freak tonight? How your composure wasn't lost? Did you get everything you need tonight? Show them who is boss. I know your secret"

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Try this... as near as

Wow, I didn't know you spoke German eggopp!

Without wanting to criticize, just a couple of minor correction:

Zeigten Sie uns, wie Sie keine Mi?bildung (today Germans would probably just say "kein Freak") heute abend waren? Wie Ihre Gelassenheit nicht verloren wurde? Bekamen Sie alles, dass Sie heute abend brauchten? Zeigen Sie ihnen, wer der Chef ist. Ich kenne Ihr Geheimnis.

BTW, although I speak German, the corrections come from my lovely German wife... who is a teacher and corrects me all the time

Well do thank your wife for me for the corrections.. Im an untrianed, sef taught ex squaddie neanderthal lmao.. i write it as i would speak it.. Its qute difficult to do tho, i wasnt really sure from larrysputniks question whether there was feminine terms in there or who it was directed at, think on a face to face meeting hat makes a difference..

Bedanken Sie sich daf?r, dass Ihre nette Frau mir, mit meinem Deutschen hilft. Immer gl?cklich, korrigiert zu werden

Thank you kindly eggopp and Mr. and Mrs. MaledettoToscano. I was afraid this thread might not get any responses. Your help, time and effort is greatly appreciated.

I better not, otherwise she'll feel free to go wild correcting me even more. (I love her but the teacher's inprinting sometimes make me wonder if I am at home or back at school !)

BTW, my written German is a nightmare... a lot worst than yours

Hmmm... as it seems we have some linguists on this diverse and wonderful forum, anyone able to translate some (hand-written) Hungarian into English?

I have some old letters from my mother that were sent to my cousin. She asked me to translate. Unfortunately, although I can speak/understand passably, I can neither read nor write in this barbaric tongue.

I could scan the letters and email them if anyone out there happens to be Magyar proficient.

                      TIA,

                      george

Rok ..... could you not copy one of the letters to type ..... then run it through the Google translator. OK it won't be 100 percent but it will give you the basic gist!

                            You need a(n?) Hungarian phrasebook:
