trying to remember a joke...

This has been bugging me all day, I seem to remember watching the sitcom 'Love Thy Neighbour' years and years ago and the bloke in it coming out with an excellent joke , trouble is I can only remember half it,google hasnt helped...

it went something like

England have beat Germany 4 times, 1918, 1945, 1966 and then some line about Mexico....

it may not sound funny the way I describe it (because its not!) but does anyone remember the actual joke and not my dodgy memory of it?

Peanut, someone mentioned something about 'Love thy Neighbour' at work and this joke instantly poped in my mind, or should I say a bit of the joke popped in my head? its bloody anoying me now to be honest ... thanks Dave google was no good to me either
