Only joking! Well, I've just come back from a ten day Carribbean cruise with my partner and we had a great time. It was our first time cruising and to that part of the world and we visited some great island locations, had a fun time on the ship and made some new friends. But ... (yes there is a but) ... it was all cigar free! Now I'm only an occasional smoker (1 to 2 a month tops) so I didn't give it much thought at all; well that is until we got there! Well, my longing for one began at Miami (where we stayed for a one night stop over); which of course has a large population of Latin Americans; in particular Cubans - so what do we come across - a cigar shop! Then we board the cruise ship to find it has a cigar divan and shop, and on our travels; everywhere I seemed to turn on the islands' golden beaches I saw an American puffing on a fat cuban cigar and to finally top of it all off; on one of our evening dinners I overheard an American gentleman on another table telling his companions how great it was to be able to finally enjoy an illicit cuban!
Now I hear you asking, why didn't you just have one? Well, my partner as I've mentioned before, is an ex-smoker and so virantly anti and all our companions were all (bar one) either ex or non-smokers too, and as I prefer to smoke socially it meant that I had to go without. Oh well, I've got it all off my chest now and I'm meeting a cigar buddy in the next week or so; so I can see a lighted Bolivar Corona Gigates waiting for me at the end of this long dark tunnel.
