I apologise if this has been asked before.

What should you do with tubos if you are going to hang on to them?
    Leave in the tube?
Take from the tube and store in the humidor?

    I imagine opinions will differ.
    I'm interested.

I haven't got a clue about this one, the only thing that I have seen as reguard tubos cigars that a number of people would be happy to keep them in their tubes, inside the humidor, but this may not be the case with everyone and so, I would think that there will be various ideas and views on this, as you say

I don't know if this is of any help or not

In my opinion the best thing to do is leave them in the tube but keep the cap off while in your humidor. If you keep them in the tube with the cap on, in my opinion, there's no way the moisture can get through the tube, it's metal for goodness sake, and over time they'll dry out. At least in the tube with the cap off, they're protected, keep they're great smell, but still can absorb moisture when needs be. I have a couple of tubos "aging" this way and they seem to be totally fine.

As I said, just my opinion, others my disagree, let me know what you think?

I was thinking of the same thing, whilst posting, but I just wasn't sure if it was worth mentioning or not, but it certainly makes perfect sense to me

I've always taken them out of the tubes and put them in the humidor when I wasn't going to smoke them immediately.

Not following any acquired guidance there. Have always done that because I wasn't sure what to do for the best.

Of course they survived in great health.

I never find cigars are anywhere near as good if they've not been in the humi, open to the air, for a couple of months.

I've decided to steal a BT phone booth, convert it for cigar storage, and really indulge in this vice more vigourously like some of you guys.

Corporate Christmas party celebrations are muted in this neck of the woods this year, and it's on the band's takings that I splash out (guilt-free) on bonus stogies. Thank the Lord I have a birthday that will see me cigar-gifted if there's little playing.

I start roaming the streets today for a big red box.

And I agree with you, Deano. Humi-lifting raises tubos.

I myself prefer to remove the cigar from the tube....

Robusto...A Red Telephone box humidor would be the dogs bollocks...!!!
