On my Wiki remark I apologise as it was unbased and stupid but that doesn't mean my points are invalid and I think that may be the reason you have resorted to rubbishing-questioning my right to a late reply to your rants.

now who's being manipulative? what did i say about george galloway that speaks volumes? never mind, i'll 'quote myself':

my views on george galloway? he's not without his flaws, but he's entertaining, speaks directly, is engaging to watch in his debates, doesn't hide behind rhetoric, can provide facts and evidence and can hold his own in a debate!! some things i agree with, some i don't!! simple as!! as i've said, i don't believe in 'cult of personality', to which hitchens seems to belong!! also, my views on galloways opinions etc are irrelevant (unless we're talking his global opinions, like his thoughts on iraq, iran, syria, venezuela etc), i care more about what happens in my own country (northern ireland) with my own MPs than what happens in bradford!!

so, no....... i don't 'worship' at the shrine of 'gorgeous' george galloway!! saying that, he's teetotal and enjoys cuban cigars and is always immaculately dressed!! hitchens was an alcoholic, chain smoker who looked like he had his cloths shoveled on!! lol.....

somehow, you are trying to get the last word on an argument you already conceded when you requested an 'agree to disagree'!! your WIKI remark was not only stupid and unbased, it was also a cheap tactic you tried to use to insult me and remove any credibility from my opinion, opinion that has years of experience and education on this subject, as well as facts behind it!! does it make me more right than you? probably not since we're dealing with personal views and opinions!! however, i do believe that i am more informed on the subject that you wish to believe!! if you were willing to have a civil debate (which we are now past), you may have learned something......

Gentlmen, if i am sure of one thing in this world it is that using plain txt to have a complex, subjective discussion is very unlikely to have a good outcome. Emails, forums, txts are really poor environments for discussion on topics that need to be discussed face to face.

I have some strong opinions on this particular topic but wouldn't dream of discussing them here, I would be too dogmatic in my tone. You may well find me offensive even though I thought I was being reasonable. You may even find this post rude but I assure you that is not my intention.

Now face to face with a nice cigar you would see with your eyes my sincerity to understand why you could feel the opposite to me ...but on a forum you probably will not.

lol...... hear hear guys!!! this debate was actually closed AGES ago, but for some reason mr moore started it up again and started bad mouthing me!! it would've passed unnoticed had i not actually been interested in finding out what others are reading at the moment!! cheers for the offers of cigars and stuff though, lol!!

But seriously. I tried not to let this happen too. I seee both Alex and Moore are intelligent and educated to quite some extent and just hope they won't have their possible casual relationship potential destroyed by a simple emotional debate on one man, a dead man for that matter, and his influence on present society.
Also hope that you're not dissuaded from posting because of all this. Methinks it's just the revisit of some misunderstpood pedantries that ended up reigniting the situation as a whole again. Rather than anyone WANTING to start the typical internet flamewar.
