1. I have smoked so many in 2009 - i honestly cannot name one - they say that every cigar that you smoke is the best one you will ever smoke..... i agree SOMEWHAT
2. Went to see Them Crooked Vultures on Thursday - amazing gig - best ive seen all year!
3. I havnt read much this year unfortunately - but i am reading Chickenhawk by Robert Mason. Not my usual genre either - but such a great read.
4. Played a few good games of poker earlier in the year..... thats sport isnt it?

Partagas P1 Pyramidias - A decent whopper. La Casa del Habano, Teddington. More a sexual throb than a smoke.

BEST MUSIC OF THE YEAR
The choir I direct carrying off This Little Babe from Benjamin Britten's A Ceremony Of Carols three times in concert with aplomb. More a sexual throb than a chore.

BEST BOOK OF THE YEAR
George Orwell - 1984. I'm amazed I read a book from start to finish. Fantastic to read and reappraise after a gap of 20 years or so.

BEST SPORTING MOMENT OF THE YEAR
David Beckham outed as a Cohiba man.

MAN OF THE YEAR
Tony Gordon. Coronation Street.

WOMAN OF THE YEAR
Stacey Soloman.

TEAM OF THE YEAR
Gillingham FC.
