I saw from the chatter box that both ChrisMClark and I are in a similar boat at the moment..ie laid up in bed with the lurgie. (no not the all girl punk band, I mean the piggy flu)

Now having been on the Government web site and been diagnosed on line, I am waiting for my Tamiflu but what to do?

The Forum "What are you listening to?" thread http://www.ukcigarforums.com/showthread.php?t=303 Is providing me with education end entertainment in equal measure and is introducing me to a whole new world, thanks guys!

I got the seasonal flu also a week ago, just getting better but haven?t enjoyed a cigar since.

The "What are you listening to?" thread is my fav too, i love music.

Were?s a Portuguese medicinal advice for flu and colds :

Get a coffee cup of honey and eat it a bit in the micro-wave oven. drop it to a cup or something them take the juice of a lemon an mix it really good with the honey, it helps with throat problems and helps the body to kick the virus.

Hope you get well quick mate, not a good one to have. Hoping to avoid it myself.

A bunch of people in my previous office got it, so far I've managed to skip it. Touch wood.

Thanks matey, having given the forum what to listen too a good scroot I am now off to your new employers to have a listen to the Morrissey Dessert Island disks and then whole of the Women's hour Charles Dickens version of Our Mutual Friend.

Be sure to keep out of the office though, I hear paint fumes are really good for fighting it off.

The website is a better option than the NHS helpline. When I rang up for info on swine flu all I got was crackling.
But after going through the online diagnosise I ended up getting some oinkment.

Just keep listening to Radio 4 with no distractions as you are, Nic.
It keeps the brain alive at least. Even if all else feels shite.
              Get well soon.

Well Nic, I've spent the day under a quilt on my lappy doing some christmas shopping, though it's not swine flu for me...it's worse...MAN FLU! Rather strange, no runny nose of cough, just very dizzy, achey, head's banging, and I've got enough nausea to light up Blackpool.

Thanks boys. Moving between iPlays radio 4 and radio 7.

Just listened to an original Lord Peter Whimsey, now I have got to go out and buy a trumpet and a mute to learn how to play that theme tune, what style to have a Mayfair telephone number in the 1920's "Hello Mayfair 1246, Nicolas Wing's residence".

I think I am getting delirious, must be the Tamiflu kicking in!
