look T YOU brought this up, Ive no idea why you were told about this but you know what you are doing , and Im certainly not offering you a cigar, if Nic is unhappy Im offering him a cigar as a peace offering. I thought he was a mate and dont see why he felt the need to tell tales to your or others tbh instead of coming to me.

Agreed, I am not, and never have been trying to have a "dig", just talk principles, or my understanding of such. Why is it so hard to detach a conversation about behaviour from mud-slinging?

Tim - I 100% agree with you. We're supposed to be friends. I don't like airing of dirty laundry in public...best conducted by PM...and for the record I would have taken three (or more) cigars....a freebie is a freebie for a reason...the makers want you to try them them then buy more

My earlier point about Britishness is that it means very different things to different people. Given the scenario T. described I find it bizarre that this is described as un-British.

I get your point ... British today means something entirely different to what it might have 20 years ago... when you consider things like it is illegal the fly the flag of St George etc.

When considering the fact that the event was being run by a company for PR purposes then maybe they should have brought along enough smoke's for everyone, having been to a lot of events similar over the years, if somebody said not now but maybe later, then the person from lastminute.com should have ensured that they where offered a smoke a bit later!

If Panto had two due to no one else wanting them, then fair play, I remember Ajay offered me back at the 1 year Herf a lovely big Vegas Robaina about three times, but I refused because I already had one, he then went home later with 3 or 4 unclaimed!...lol

A couple of adages spring to mind, one being "If you're not fast, you're last" (contemporary I know). There's also been some sensible comments about the forum not being, perhaps, the best place to air such disquiet and have digs.

It would seem that the topic raised, possibly answers its own question about elements of British-ness and Moid's comment is a fair call.

T's asked for the thread to be deleted, and unless anyone has any objections, I'll do the honours and it'll be pulled this afternoon.
