  • Queen - Absolute Greatest - 2CD

    Shot in the dark.

I can't find a site that lets me preview CD2 of a special edition which apparently has commentaries on each song.

If these commentaries are interesting, I would buy the 2CD collection.

Just wondered if anybody here has bought this...

I listened to it earlier Bry, its kind of like a dvd comentary for a cd, which in actually quite an interesting idea, its the songs with the band talking over them with little stories on how them made them etc.

I wondered if it would be useful re studying songwriting for da kidz I teach.

If it's anecdotal, sweetie darling, then It won't be interesting for my classes.

And if these voiceovers have stories of open dwarves and snowdrifts and I play them, I'll get pensioned off.

Incidentally if 13-15 year olds know old groups, it's Queen and Pink Floyd through Dads in my experience.

I'm watchimg The X Factor and it's Take That and Elton John week.

I love Elton John because I listened to his playing and learned how to play by ear from about 1973 Goodbye Yellow Brick Road time.

But how boring to sit through his songs yet again on a show like this!

(I might qualify that after the show... but it's all unoriginal karaoke fodder... At least the Twat Twins are out, Boss...).
