I've tried the mentholated snuff a couple of times.
Once when I was about 14 on a school trip to France, and a few years ago in Bristol. Both times were horrific. I would recommend trying non-mentholated.
That said, in the course of my online cigar hunting I have noticed numerous snuffs and I admit it has piqued my interest.
Have you tried it?

I once tried a form of it called "Snus" from a swedish friend, apparently it's illegal all over europe apart from sweeden.
I dont really know what you do with snuff but this stuff you pack under your top lip and leave it for about 30mins. your supposed to get some sort of buzz out of it.
All I got was the 2nd most disgusting thing I have ever put in my mouth and tasted.Free the UKCF one

I have never tried it before it any format. As I understand it, and I am happy to be corrected, Snus is a format (illegal in the UK) that sits in your mouth and dissolves. Traditional snuff is a dry tobacco, possibly flavoured, that it sniffed. I've also had my interest raised recently and was wondering if it was worth trying; at only a few quid a tin, I probably shall.

ive tried that gawith snuff from germany. i used to like it sometimes. people around here look at you funny when you use it though. mine was apricot flavored. there was a kid we used to talk him into doing it at work and we would give him a heaping mound of it on his hand. my gosh im surprised the guy didnt die as often as we talked him into it! lmao you would have had to seen it to get the humor.

Tried it a few times and have a mate that uses it all the time. If you want a brown hankie, brown snot and stained facial hair, then snuff is for you. It can be used as an aid to stopping smoking but is quite disgusting. My (very) late grandmother was a Hebridean and she used until she died.
Snus is a snuff based "teabag" that's placed between the gum and lip. It's a bit like the old Skoal Bandits which our USAian friends will probably remember. It's supposed to absorb nicotime through the sub-cutaneous glands in the mouth. It's banned in Europe as it, seemingly, caused mouth cancer.
N.B. Snus should not be confused with Snu-Snu which is something else completely! No man has the right to fix the boundary of a nation.
No man has the right to say to his country, "Thus far shalt thou go and no further."

I have tried both. I like the strong nicotine buzz that you get out of snus. I hate the foul liquid that accumulates in your mouth. There are snus boxes with a little container where you're supposed to park the snus bag between usages. Yes you can use it several times. Disgusting.
Snuff is great on outdoor tours. On hiking tours I always carry a tin. You can't smoke when climbing mountains. And the tobacco smell in the nose can be quite nice. Unless you takle the menthol versions, which I dislike.
Wouldn't want to use it regularly though. Can only be bad for your aroma perception nerves.
