  • Molar Out

I'm in the dentist's chair having a molar out at 1400. I get off work for the afternoon, and miss an open evening where I serve pate in a mock French cafe as a French waiter. (Thank feck for that).

The downside is I'll have the killer looks of a balloon fish and (according to the dentist) a month of gob pain to come.

Thing is... Do I light up a Bolivar this afternoon to help take away the pain?

If my laptop hadn't been wine-soused by my wife and thrown back at Comet for repair, you'd be getting a vid. This home PC is going to die any day now and can't rise to playing with moving images.

This is the first time I've ever fully insured a piece of electrical kit, apart from my musical instruments and PA. I'm glad I did.

    So...

Should a great cigar be smoked through bloated facial pain?
Your opinions will determine the outcome.

I'm not sure about this one, because I've had a molar removed on the lower jaw a few years back it was a week or so before the crater had completely healed up, but I did notice that I didn't have any swelling or pain from when the tooth was removed

The anaesthetic now by dentists is much better than it used to be, as I have any pain at all during or after the time when the tooth was being removed

I don't know if you should enjoy a cigar soon after having the crusher yanked out, but it would be worth asking your dentist about it

Suggestion - Why not enjoy a good stogie before going to the dentist, just in case the dentist says you can't smoke any cigars for any length of time

I hope this helps buddy, good luck

    Willie

On a seperate note Bry, I'm an odd software developer. I know about hardware too.

I've set up networks for international online casinos etc. I know a thing or two about PCs. Let me know if I can help you out. I was considering a PC Hardware/Software forum if anyones interested?

I would like that, Deano, because I have a PC in my office which is all but phucked.

I am a shy boy with my mouth and have this fear that my dentist - a superb practitioner - will say something like "You've been smoking a lot since your last visit, haven't you?".

This is similar to my end-of-school police role - Oh! The hypocrisy of it! - and I don't want the dentist dobbing me in in that way.

I'm about to eat two tins of lunch mackerel early, so he'll know I've arrived.

Two days ago, I had to co-manage a Health Day and hear all about the dangers of smoking from external speakers. I wanted to stand up and shout about the pleasures, but just looked out of the windows instead and had smoky dreams.

I saw one of the speakers light up in her car and felt vindicated.

I'll be in blood pain when I next post.

Well all the best at dentist bry, Had a bit of work done on back tooth (Root canal) killed the nerve, had a few injections too, somehow i enjoyed it.

I would wait & smoke the bolivar maybe tomoro or over weekend i think you will enjoy it more not being swollen, it interferes with the pleasure of the cigar.
If you got em, Smoke em!

            Fire it up Bryan,

Although smoking can have an effect on general anaesthetic you are ok a few hours before, it mainly has an effect on those cigarette smokers that inhale the smoke. should lay off it afterwards for a few hours too, (just asked the mrs she's a nurse at the william harvey)

              How funny, Dean.
Mine's a nurse at Margate General!
              An oncology nurse, to boot.
She doesn't give me too much grief because she sees how grand a stogie makes me feel and be.

Hi Bryan -hope it went well mate.

Just a couple of wayward observations...:

Firstly, I read somewhere that Edward VII lit up a cigar just a few hours after major surgery...and managed to struggle on for quite some years after. Nothing like a good role model...

Secondly, why not take a few front teeth out at the same time? If you took a couple out, you might be able to lodge a mareva, or even a corona in the spaces. That would save all the trouble of having to use your hands...sort of stogie hands-free kit! What you then do with your hands is of course, entirely up to you and your libido...

Sorry, you're probably not in the best of humours at the moment...

                  I'm fine, actually!
The roots came out really easily and I have prat cheeks.
My notes tell me no smoking for 24 hours. Do-able, but boring.
I could swing the cat turd with my mouth as it is, Wild.
Won't be in agony tomorrow so back to being Preacher Man.
                  Bollocks.
I'm off to watch some rolling news.
