The enclosed article by Jeremy Clarkson was in this week's Sunday Times but has since been 'pulled' - probably by the subject of the article, Mandelson.

So much for free speech. But poor old Manglebum fails to appreciate how the blogsphere works and in no time the article finds itself going viral round
the world. Wonderful. Enjoy it - and feel free to pass it on if you enjoyed it.....

    Jeremy Clarkson
    Sunday Times 15/11/09

I've given the matter a great deal of thought all week, and I'm afraid I've decided that it's no good putting Peter Mandelson in a prison. I'm afraid he
will have to be tied to the front of a van and driven round the country until he isn't alive any more. He announced last week that middle-class
children will simply not be allowed into the country's top universities even if they have 4,000 A-levels, because all the places will be taken by
Albanians and guillemots and whatever other stupid bandwagon the conniving .idiot has leapt

I hate Peter Mandelson. I hate his fondness for extremely pale blue jeans and I hate that preposterous moustache he used to sport in the days when he
didn't bother trying to cover up his left-wing fanaticism. I hate the way he quite literally lords it over us even though he's resigned in disgrace
twice, and now holds an important decision-making job for which he was not elected. Mostly, though, I hate him because his one-man war on the bright
and the witty and the successful means that half my friends now seem to be taking leave of their senses.

Ol' Jeremy has just gone way up in my estimations, Couldnt have put it better myself.

Although he failed to mention the low life trailer park chavs people living off benefits for their whole life and being soft on criminals which would have just topped it off nicely.

Now if I had said that people would have blocked me and said I was offensive!

I enjoy Clarkson but I hate him for reasons that should only be explained in person. He talks sense sometimes but often demonstrates a text book definition of hypocrisy.

As some of you who have spoken to me already know, I have first hand experience of the thought police in this country and have learnt the hard way that freedom of speech is a long gone concept. Thanks for posting this Nic, don't let the scum that have lied, cheated, stolen and connived to become our "leaders" and "government" dictate us into a total nanny state.

Ah, time to get off my high house, LOL.

It appears to still be on the website actually...

I tend to agre with "Big-T." I find Clarkson to be ok at times but usually, he's just a self opinionated windbag with VERY right wing tendnecies.

                  Enjoy TG though!

Clarkson's fine. I've even read a book or two of his.

So have I, I think they should come with a packet of crayons on the cover but clearly labeled "do not eat".

Being a dedicated petrolhead I have always enjoyed JC (anyone else reading him when he used to do write the back page in (the now long gone) Performance Car). He is opinionated and often hypocritical/wrong/dangerous/over-simplistic and a vast improvement (imho) over most of our front bench politicians..... what does that say about them?

I used subscribe to "Performance Car" and "Car" magazine, berfore they "merged". He was not so bad back then. He was OK and fun on the original Top Gear, the glory days of him, Tiff and Quintin. Do not get me wrong, he is entertaining but he argues things that are not thought through.
