  • Stopping ciggies

Well, the time has come. After contracting the oink flu, my chest has been a bit fragile, so I'm stopping the ciggies!

I'll be on patches all day and taking them off about seven in the evening so that I can indulge in a couple of Puros.

Those of you that are religious, say a prayer for me. Those that ain't, well, think "stop the ciggies...stop the ciggies!"
No man has the right to fix the boundary of a nation.
No man has the right to say to his country, "Thus far shalt thou go and no further."

The very reason I started smoking cigars was to stop the cigs.

You will do it if you really want to, after several tries I decided that enough was enough and in the end found it really easy after the first couple of days.

              Good luck.

Good luck! Remember they are just shitty addiction food. Take them patches off well before a cigar.
You lungs will feel bigger soon, and there'll be less phlegm all the time.
If it's any help, I just told myself I wasn't smoking, not that I'd given up. If you can still have a cigar, what you worried about?

Best of luck mate, I gave up in 2004. besides cigars in the last few months I have not gone back to them. You have to have a good reason to do it.

Patches helped me for the first couple of days but then I found that at some point it had come off and stuck to my shirt!! so from then on I went cold turkey, but kept a couple of patches in my pocket. The reasoning was that if the cravings got really bad I would use one. They did get bad but I didn't use them!!

Now the day before I quite if you had asked me whats easier sky diving or giving up ciggies I would have said sky diving (and I suffer from vertigo!!).

                        persevere and you will succeed!
                        regards

Bloody good luck (that sounds like a death knoll for your will power, sorry)

It's not luck you need celcis, it's the want, to give up.

                          Go for it.

Good luck mate, I'm sure cigars will help actually as you are getting a nicotine intake through the lining of your mouth.

                              Good luck bro,
Never an easy thing to do. I was a 30 a day man for too long until a chest infection put me down for a week. Off them a year now, unfortunately (depending on your point of view!) have started to get very fond of the puro's now! Keep strong mate
                              Keep it country.
