Marc Morris is the fella who did those castle documentaries on history channel a few years back.
Little factoid I read last night in above book.
Did you know The Hotel Savoy on The Strand sits exactly where a palace called Savoy Palace stood which was built in the 13 century by Henry 111 for Peter of savoy.
It was demolished hundreds of years ago and all his furniture and bling was fired into the Thames as he was hated for his oppulence, but the name lived on....If..
